The lesson on Living With Intent is so powerful. For many people, this lesson is the first time in a long time that they begin to think of the future…to think of it in terms of possibilities instead of limitations.
The first time I experienced the Beyond Freedom program, I was living my day to day life as a drone. I got up every morning, drove to a job I hated, worked all day so that I could get a paycheck to pay some of my bills. I was dying each day, strugging to maintain a life that was mediocre…that I didn’t even want.
People on the outside say a decent house, decent cars, a husband and wife who loved each other, but we both wanted more…we wanted luxury, freedom, opportunity. We wanted a life where we didn’t make every single decision based on time or money. Yet, it seemed like such a fleeting thought. All of our energy and time was put into maintaining the life we had and each year we were getting further and further behind, more and more disatisfied.
This lesson was a glimmer of hope. I began imagine my life without time limitations – no pre-ordained work schedule or 60 hour work weeks. I began to imagine my life without financial limitations…what would I drive, where would I live, where would I travel too, what would I do with my time?
I found myself again filled with joy and excitement…like a little kid who is imaging all the possibilities of life because noone has convinced them of limitations. I went out and test drove luxury cars, went to open houses of million dollar homes, went to stores and tried on expensive clothes, looked at expensive electronics, subscribed to the Robb Report and Departures Magazine, bought a world map…there were suddendly all these possibilities in my life.
More than that, I realized I didn’t even know what I liked or didn’t like. I always had bought things because of price. Most of the stuff in my closet I realized I hated. I didn’t like my car, I was disappointed by my neighborhood…how did I end up with all this stuff I didn’t like in a place I didn’t want to live?
Because someone sold me on the idea that was all I could have. Beyond Freedom sold me on the idea there was a lot more to life than settling.
Creating my 101 list was empowering, moving and thrilling! Some of the things I added that I have accomplished are:
Buying a million dollar home and Bentley. Rafting the Grand Canyon for a week. Going to Athens, Greece, Fiji, Puerto Rico, Africa (I loved Africa…check out our blog from Africa at http://libertyleaguesummit.blogspot.com), Learning to Snowboard, Snowboarding Down a Black (go to http://millionairemastermind.blogspot.com) to see me snowboarding…and so much more.

It’s awesome to live a life of possiblity and accomplishment rather than a life of limitation and struggle. Thank you Liberty League International…thank you, thank you, thank you for Beyond Freedom!
What do you see as a possibility that you’ve included in your 101 list. What have you accomplished! Share it here!

Hi Shannon,
My purpose in writing is to share how grateful Neil and I are to your’s and John’s roll within our Liberty League community. The contributions you both make willingly and with a joyous heart, we truly appreciate. Shannon, it is so refreshing that I can come to this blog and read enlightening, authentic real life happenings of joy and success and included with it lessons of dealing with adversity, which we all can learn along with you. I am grateful for the words of wisdom you shared regarding the adversity you faced with the media recently. Reading it, it quickly became clear to me the steps and principles you utilized from Beyond Freedom apparent in your comments and actions in dealing with the situation at hand. Since reading your post, I was inspired and have re-evaluated and got clear, on my own intentions toward my purpose, regarding the project I am working on presently, which has everything to do with Beyond Freedom. Our community has infinitely assisted me in the realizations of my dreams. The greatest lesson from Beyond Freedom for me that I keep close to my heart is how vital the role of self is for our health, wealth, hope and freedom. This was a most unexpected gift Beyond Freedom assisted me in giving to myself; in turn benefiting those, I love.
Thank you.
